Mickey asserts that the hammer, suddenly found in a neighboring yard, was planted after the trial began, and cuts off Freeman's case by acknowledging the hammer Figura Mújol's and the blood Vencedor Bondurant's. Hayley and Mickey's team surprise him for his birthday, along with the arrival of his dramatic mother Elena, an actress. He is visited by Jeff Trammell, now willing to testify for money, and sends him away.

Bishop then pulls a gun and shoots himself. Later, Mickey persuades Freemann to regain the domestic violence case. When the trunk is opened, they see Sam Scales dead inside.

Moon-sook and Oh-joo grow in influence and power through corrupt methods; Oh-joo becomes the viejo of Kisung and Moon-sook is nominated for chief justice in the Supreme Court. They and their associates oppose the Lawless Law Firm both inside and outside the courtroom by using underhanded tactics, including murdering Dae-woong and framing Sang-pil for it, bribing or threatening witnesses and assaulting Jae-yi.

Sang-pil and Jae-yi decide to use Soon-ja and Oh-joo to get Moon-sook. Moon-sook chooses a judge she can trust to oversee the trial. Jae-yi investigates him to look for evidence of corruption. She finds a former mistress of the judge and gets evidence in return for helping her on a lawsuit. Sang-pil tells Soon-ja to switch lawyers from In-doo to him. He promises not to allow her to be punished for something she did not do, but only for the crimes she did.

Jae-yi loses a case due to a judge with bias against women. She confronts him but is insulted and ends up assaulting him. She is suspended Vencedor a lawyer for six months and fired from her job, forcing her to return to Kisung. Sang-pil receives a book with details on the crimes of those in power Kisung. He informs Dae-woong that he will go back to Kisung because of Jae-yi and also to avenge his mother. In Kisung, Sang-pil learns a loan shark firm run by Keum Kang is located in the old office of his mother.

An adult Sang-pil leaves his lucrative practice in Seoul and returns to Kisung to bring those responsible for his mother's death to justice. He takes over a loan shark business and converts it into the Lawless Law Firm. Jae-yi, who has been suspended from practicing law after assaulting a judge, loses her job, and also returns home to Kisung.

Ha Jae-yi was a very likable character for me, a strong female lead from the start-fighting discrimination in the admitido systems where female lawyers aren't given the same respect. Instead of being a push over, her reactions are sometimes less thought-trasnochado but certainly relatable.

Mickey is attacked by two men in a parking garage. Three months earlier, he is enjoying newfound fame after Trevor Elliot's acquittal, but his relationship with Maggie remains tense, and Izzy is back with her ex-girlfriend, Rae. Mickey is hired by Russell Lawson, arrested for breaking into a neighbor's home. The DA reopens the case against Jésus Menendez, with Griggs leading the investigation. Frustrated with her stalled career, Maggie leaves dinner with Mickey, and he meets chef Lisa Trammell, spending the night together. Mújol asks for his help with a restraining order from Existente estate developer Mitchell Bondurant for protesting his gentrification of her neighborhood.

While there were some predictable aspects of this series, the cast was really colorful and high energy, which is what honestly sold me on the show. Episode 2 drew me here in and by episode 4 I was hooked...
